Von Karman Vortices The US Geological Survey and NASA have created a series of fabulous images showing views of “Earth as Art.” Sadly, mere images on your screen fail to capture the stunning beauty of these high resolution pictures and the photo quality posters they produce. We at Meralee Fine Poster Art offer two versions for your consideration, posters and art prints. For display as works of art, we have removed the black border to create print versions of the image only. Photo credits also appear on the border. The image itself is 24x24 inches at 300 PPI. All posters are 26x28 inches when printed at 300 PPI, but will still look good even when printed at the maximum size of 52x56 inches. Before buying, look for the “Customise it!” button on the lower right below “Add to cart,” then “Print Options” mid-upper left. Enter one of the dimensions for the desired frame size. The vortices in this image were created when prevailing winds sweeping east across the northern Pacific Ocean encountered Alaska’s Aleutian Islands.
