One of the saddest, yet most rewarding tasks the Hungarian Vizsla Club of New South Wales performs is rescuing and helping to re-home unwanted Vizslas across Australia.
Some of these Vizslas are reluctantly re-homed from loving families who, for some reason, must give up their dog – but some are Vizslas who have been dumped in the pound. There is an increasing number of these rescue and re-homed dogs, which is an alarming statistic. Fortunately, most of these dogs have been found loving new homes and they settle in very well.
The HVCNSW launched its Zazzle store to raise funds to assist Vizslas in need. Profits go towards the Club's welfare program and help to cover expenses including pound/shelter fees, health checks and de-sexing if necessary, and assessment of temperament as carefully as possible.
We welcome new members from anywhere in the world. If you would like to find out more about membership to our Club or about Hungarian Vizslas in Australia, visit us at www.vizsla.org.au
