This mosaic comes from the Virgin of the Poor Shrine in New Hope, TN dedicated to the Virgin Mary, a replica of the world-famous Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Poor shrine in Banneaux, Belgium. Virgin Mary appeared to a young girl in Banneaux eight times there, and it is one of only ten fully approved sites by the Catholic Church where the Blessed Virgin Mary is believed to have visited. 10% of all sales of this mug or prayer candle go to support the work of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in New Hope in maintaining this shrine. The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
