World Map 1780 Bonne Antique Planisphere Poster
Embark on an 18th-century voyage of discovery with this exquisite French cartographic masterpiece. Created in 1780 by Rigobert Bonne, Royal Cartographer to France, this copperplate-engraved world map titled "Planisphère suivant la Projection de Mercator" showcases Enlightenment-era global navigation and oceanic trade routes. Rendered in muted pastel wash tones with original hand-colored continent outlines, this aged parchment print captures historic geography, including early Pacific explorations and speculative coastlines. A sophisticated focal point for dark academia studies, executive offices, home libraries, or travel-inspired living rooms. A magnificent gift for cartography collectors, history buffs, geographers, and lovers of vintage French decor.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning! The print is precise, clear and of an excellent standard. It was cleverly packaged so there wasn’t a blemish or crease. Perfect!
