Vintage Wildfire Prevention | Poster
A vintage forest fire prevention poster created by the WPA Federal Art Project between 1936 and 1939. It shows a smoking cigarette with a forest burning in the background, and the words, "Fire wrecks a forest." This image was obtained from the Library of Congress (http://www.loc.gov/pictures/item/98508191/) and digitally enhanced for better colour and resolution. Help protect our forests!
**If you change the size of the poster, be sure to make sure you click "Customise it!" to resize the image as well or add a background colour to cover any white space you don't want.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
