Vintage White Cat With Bee Art Poster
This charming vintage poster for cat lovers and cat owners features a wide eyed tabby cat mesmerised by a bee buzzing around in the air above his head. One paw is raised as if the cat is about to pounce. Obviously this is one green eyed cat who has never been stung by a bee before! Called ‘White Cat with Bee,’ the painting is signed by artist Harry Beard. Dated 1876 the cute cat appeared on a poster published by L. Prang & Co. of Boston, one of the first manufacturers of Christmas cards in America. The original chromolithograph is housed in Boston Public Library’s Print Department.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
