Madonna of the Prairie (1921) by WHD Koerner is a vintage fine art American West portrait painting. A pioneer cowgirl woman is driving a covered wagon through the frontier plains of the wild west. About the artist: William Henry David Koerner (1878-1938) is renowned as one of the master illustrators of America’s Wild West untamed territories. Koerner’s illustrations are known for his bold brushwork with a vibrant colour palette.
