Vintage Vinegar Valentine - Penny Pincher, Holiday Card

In the late 1880s to 1940s, Vinegar Valentines were a popular way to send a message to someone you didn't like or someone you wanted to prank. They had rude but funny messages about a type of person that was written as an insult. This card is for the "Penny Pincher." It depicts a man and woman on a date to the movies which only cost 10 cents. He turns his back to the woman so she can't see him counting out the change from his change purse as if he's pinching every penny. The verse on the card is: "Penny Pincher - At pinching pennies you're a whiz, you really are a grouch. I've heard them say that money talks, but all yours says is 'ouch." The card is blank inside for your own message.
