Vintage artwork by Clara M. Burd depicts a cute but comical scene in a home where a little girl is busy stitching up a hole in the back of a little boy's pants while he's wearing them. He stands patiently waiting to go out and play, holding a ball under his arm. She has a sewing basket on the floor and her bonnet hangs on a chair. The American artist, Clara M. Burd (1873-1933) was born in New York, and studied art in New York City and later in Paris. She is best known for her illustrations for children’s books, but she also illustrated for magazine covers, designed stained glass and murals for churches, and painted children’s portraits and scenes from historical periods. This card is blank inside for your own message.

This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
