Vintage Seed Catalogue Poster
Vick's Illustrated Floral Guide 1873 vintage seed catalogue illustration, an antique reproduction of a catalogue for vegetables and flowers that was very popular in the last half of the 19ths century. The nursery company was in Rochester, New York, known as the "Flower City", and had a 100-acres devoted to raising seeds and plants. Also on-site were the company's offices, engravers' rooms and a bindery for the production of the seed catalogues. This vintage catalogue illustration features old-fashioned writing and floral embellishments. This would make a unique gift for any gardener.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
