Nassau Harbour (1877) by Albert Bierstadt is a vintage American West fine art impressionist maritime painting. A seascape featuring the beach with fishermen, ships and sailboats in the ocean at Nassau Harbour in the Bahamas. About the artist: Albert Bierstadt (1830-1902) was a German-American painter best known for his lush, sweeping landscapes of the American West. Bierstadt joined several journeys of the Westward Expansion. He was part of the Hudson River School whose style involved carefully detailed paintings with romantic, almost glowing lighting, sometimes called luminism.
