Vintage Marine Lighthouse Alfred Thompson Bricher Ceramic Tile

A beautiful print of ‘Lighthouse’ - watercolor and gouache on paper painted by Alfred Thompson Bricher (1837-1908). Bricher was an American marine painter born in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He was a painter linked with White Mountain art and the Hudson River School. A lover of marine life and the sea, Bricher purchased a home in New Dorp, a neighbourhood on the East Shore of Staten Island, New York, with view of the Atlantic Ocean and Raritan Bay and painted here up until his death in 1908. Bricher is considered one of the nineteenth century's greatest maritime painters.
