Vintage Louis Wain Kittens Pillow Fight Card

This funny vintage cat card features the wonderful, whimsical world of famous English cat artist Louis Wain. The boisterous kittens at the cat boarding school are slugging it out in a pillow fight in the dormitory. It's all too much for one cat who's hiding under the bed but there's no escape - he's being dragged out by the tail whle another kitten waits on the sidelines to whack him. Three kittens are jumping on the bed while a couple of kittens are having great fun pouring the contents of the water jug on another innocent victim! On the wall is a notice that says BE GOOD. Originally a black and white drawing, I've added a dash of colour to the cats' nightgowns. The art was commissioned by American printmakers Currier & Ives. The original image is courtesy of The Library of Congress Prints & Photographs Division, Washington D.C. The card would be perfect for cat owners, cat lovers and admirers of Louis Wain and vintage cat art. It would also be perfect for a child's birthday card but don't blame me if they suddenly start a pillow fight.
