Vintage Lithograph British Ocean Liner RMS Caronia Tie

Here (below) is a half scale detail to give a better idea of what the product will look like. Click the image to open the full scale version. See bottom of page for more full resolution details of the master image. Reproduction of a Chromolithograph of a drawing by J. J. Jelley for "The Boy's Own Paper" in 1906. Lithographer: Emrik & Binger This illustration is in the public domain and is not under any current copyright protection. This is a Very High Resolution image suitable for large or small copies. This is a reproduction and has been edited and digitally enhanced to repair flaws, major stains, etcetera. This is the slightly DARKER version. There are two versions posted here, so look them over to see which you like better. When I was editing it I could not decide on the better version, so posted them both. One has deeper colour, but the other has more colour differentiation. The latter may be a bit lighter though, which some people do not like. Also in the illustration are views of eleven ships on a smaller scale: Caronia Aragon Empress of Japan Macedonia Zungeru Turakina Miltiades Orontes Tara Kenilworth Castle Launched on July 13th 1904, the Caronia was the biggest ship to enter the Cunard fleet at the time. In 1914 at the start of World War I, the ship was brought to Liverpool for conversion into a military cruiser. The great ship was scrapped in Japan in the early 1930's. Specifications: Length: 678 feet (207.1 m) Beam: 72 feet (22 m) Tonnage: 19,524 gross tons Service speed: 18 knots Engines: Steam quadruple-expansion reciprocating engines turning two propellers. Passengers: 2,650 people. DETAIL VIEWS It is sometimes hard to see the level of detail that a final product will have. Here are four (4) close up detail views of the actual master file from which the product will be made. Of course, many detail will be hard to make out at any but the largest size print, but this shows the quality of the image itself.

I originally ordered 1 tie to test and ensure I liked it with the suits we had ordered! The tie came and it was perfect! We loved it! The colours were bright and the tie was beautifully made. I then ordered the 6 additional ties and the colours are slightly different. The 6 ties were a little less vibrant and the white background was slightly different! .
