Vintage - Just a Little Peek!,

A vintage illustration by Sergio Bompard with a touch of humour. A cheeky gentleman cannot seem to wait for his beloved as she changes clothes behind a trifold screen. She stands behind the screen in a state of half undress and smiles coyly at him as he peeks around the edge of the screen and takes her hand to give her a kiss on the hand. The Italian artist, Sergio Bompard, is a mystery as far as his life. Little is known about him and little is published online about him except that he was a prolific artist who specialised in illustrations for magazines and postcards during the World War I era. His subject matter was primarily beautiful women of the time, however, he also painted romantic couples, art deco style illustrations of women in the latest fashions (often with greyhound dogs), as well as children.
