Vintage Jumbo Circus Advertisement Poster
Jumbo the circus elephant was born in Sudan, East Africa, 1860. SOLD to P. T. Barnum in 1882 for $10,000 DIED 9/15/1885 Ontario, Canada, he was hit by a train during transport. Jumbo’s skeleton was donated to the American Museum of Natural History in New York city where it probably still remains. Ringling Bros.and Barnum and Bailey circus retired its touring elephants in 2016.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
