Vintage - Hunting Beagles,

Vintage artwork titled "Father of the Pack" by John Emms depicts a group of hunting Beagles resting in the hay in a barn or stable. The English artist, John Emms (1844-1912) was an avid hunter and became famous for his paintings of sporting scenes, horses and dogs, particularly Foxhounds and Terriers. He married a woman from Lyndhurst in 1880, and after a brief residence in London, they returned to Lyndhurst where they established a home and studio called The Firs. Emms lived there for the remainder of his life. He was famous not only for his artwork, but also for his big personality, flamboyant style of dressing, and often careless spending of money. This card is blank inside for your own message.

This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
