This whimsical floral poster for cat lovers and cat owners features an illustration of a beautiful, colourful cat with purple flower fringed eyes created by the famous British cat artist Louis Wain (1860 -1939). Abive the cat's head there is a sprinkling of pretty English wild flowers in orange, red, pink, purple and lilac colours. The same colours are picked out in his chest fur. The wise looking little cat has an enigmatic smile on his face. To continue the flower theme I've added a border of the purple flowers around the cat's eyes and placed this inside a purple frame.Could this be the first Flower Power hippy cat? I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
