Vintage - Fairy of the Lake,

This is vintage artwork titled "Iris" (1886) by John Atkinson Grimshaw (1836-1893). Grimshaw was known for his expertise in painting moody night skies and dusky landscapes. In this painting, a fairy arises from the lake in a wooded area, her face turned towards the dappled sunlight which causes a glow around her wings and face. The card is blank inside for your handwritten message.

This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
