Vintage illustration Merry Christmas holiday design featuring a page from the book Santa Claus and His Works. Published by McLoughlin Brothers in 1889.
The story tells of Santa's work making toys for all the good little boys and girls around the world.
This Victorian Era image shows old jolly Saint Nicholas filling stockings by the fireplace on Christmas Eve. Some of the toys are dolls, drums, horse, sled and a baseball bat and ball.
