Vintage Battle between Crib and Molineau Poster
This vintage-style poster captures 'The Battle between Crib and Molineaux,' fought at Thistleton Gap in Rutland on September 28th, 1811, for 600 guineas. A dramatic and historic 19th-century boxing match between English champion Tom Cribb and the African American fighter Tom Molineaux. The original caption reads:
'The Battle between Crib and Molineaux, fought at Thistleton Gap in the County of Rutland. Sept’r 28th, 1811 for 600 Guineas. It was terminated in 11 rounds, fought in 20 minutes, in which Crib was victorious, the Moor was carried off senseless, with a broken jaw, Crib was but little hurt.'

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
