About This Design

Vincent van Gogh - Wheatfields under Thunderclouds Two-Tone Coffee Mug

Vincent van Gogh - Wheatfields under Thunderclouds Two-Tone Coffee Mug

Wheatfield under Thunderclouds, painted in 1890 in oil on canvas by Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh in Auvers-sur-Oise. A vast band of wheat stretches beneath a darkening blue sky and heavy clouds in the wide double-square format Van Gogh favored during his final weeks. He painted the canvas shortly after a difficult visit to Paris, simplifying the landscape into large horizontal masses of field and weather. Van Gogh linked these late wheatfields with feelings of sadness and extreme loneliness, yet he also described the countryside itself as healthy and invigorating.

A good quality mug comparatively priced. I put 3 individual pictures of 3 of our grandchildren on a mug for my husband. The quality of the printing is great! He loves it! Was worth the time it took to order just for the smile on his face

I've been using the mug now for some time and I'm very happy that putting it through a dishwasher cycle numerous times has not effected the print or the look of the mug at all. The quality is very good. Great quality printing vibrant, sharp colours

Didn’t take a photo unfortunately of this before gifting it to a friend. But so happy with the design and my friend was especially happy with her gift. Thank you. .
