Vincent Van Gogh - Irises Corkscrew
Irises, painted in 1889 in oil on canvas by Dutch Post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Van Gogh painted the irises soon after arriving at Saint-Rémy, working in the garden while adapting to his new surroundings. The mass of sword-like leaves and blossoms fills the canvas almost edge to edge, with one pale flower standing apart from the darker violets. He regarded the picture as a study, but Theo sent it to the 1889 Salon des Indépendants, where it appeared alongside The Starry Night.

The image online and what it actually turns out to be are different. The online image is readable, but the actual item is not readable. Disappointed. .
