Vincent Van Gogh Blossoming Almond Tree Vintage Floral Art Blossoming Almond Tree is an 1890 painting by Dutch post-impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh. Almond Blossoms is a group of several paintings made in 1888 and 1890 by Vincent van Gogh in Arles and Saint-Remy, southern France of blossoming almond trees. Flowering trees were special to Van Gogh. They represented awakening and hope. He enjoyed them aesthetically and found joy in painting flowering trees. The artwork reflects Impressionist, Divisionist and Japanese woodcut influences. Almond Blossoms was made to celebrate the birth of his nephew and namesake, son of his brother Theo and sister-in-law Jo. This review is by the artist who created the designs on these cards. I would recommend this product but only in the size large. The paper quality on this is wonderful...it has a nice texture. But I believe my design was too detailed for the small sized card which affected the printing (see below). I was a little disappointed in the printing on this card. There was black speckling this gold. I think the design may have been too small for this medium, because this wasn't as noticeable on wreath design I bought on a larger card. The wreath, pictured with this card, is similar style to the tree but the printing came out so much better when it was just printed a little bit larger. I think this design also would probably print better on a larger card.

I like to buy a test piece of the designs I create, so blown away by the quality of the foil on these cards! I was a little unsure if they would turn out fake looking (as the product shots really don't do the foil quality justice) ... please don't hesitate they are so sparkly and very elegant looking. The printing of the design in this real foil really adds a very elegant look to a very simple design.
