It's nice and thick, and it works perfectly. I was trying to use magazines, papers, folders, and various other items as mouse pads, and none of them worked smoothly. One caveat is that it had a bit of a funny smell to it when it arrived, but I assumed that was either the ink or the pad itself. I haven't noticed it since. The photo is gorgeous, the colors are vivid.
