"Very Sacred"

During the month of October, you will be able to see the Iron Man Triathalon on television, broadcast from the island of Hawaii (yes, that's Hawaii island and Hawaii state --sort of like New York, New York.) Hawaii Island is commonly called "The Big Island" to avoid any confusion. During the marathon part of the triathalon, participants and the people cheering them on will be on scenic Alii Drive for a portion of the course. This blank card shows one of the little local beaches you may see. La'a Loa means very sacred in the Hawaiian language, and this lovely area is the spot of an ancient Heiau. This beach is referred to in many guide books as Magic Sands Beach, earning this nick name because the level of sand can vary from week to week depending on the tides and the weather.
