This is a reproduction of the surrealistic portrait "Vertumnus," painted in 1590 by Giuseppe Acrimboldo and named for Rudolf II of Prague. At this time the painting was made, Giuseppe Acrimboldo was the court painter to to Maximilian II and his son Rudolf II at the court in Prague. He was also the court decorator and costume designer.
