Vermont Covered Bridge Poster
Print of Chiselville covered bridge in Sunderland, Vermont. The painting captures the structure of the bridge prior to the addition in 1973 of the centre pier support that was added to shore up the structural integrity of the 117-foot span. Extending across the Roaring Branch, the bridge is known for its beauty and the sign that cautions drivers not to cross the bridge faster than a walk. Sadly, in 1927 a tremendous flood destroyed many Vermont covered bridges, but the Chiselville bridge remained intact high above the brook.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!

Absolutely superb Art Deco poster. The colours are vibrant, sympathetic to the era and perfect for use. I framed it and hung above the entrance to my Art Deco inspired lounge room. Stunning!
