A lovely print of "Vase with Red Poppies" painted in 1886 by Vincent van Gogh during the period he spent in Paris -- the painting was done four years before his death in 1890. Vincent van Gogh (1853 – 1890) was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who in just over a decade created approximately 2,100 paintings including about 860 oil paintings, most of which were created during the last two years of his life. Van Gogh is considered among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. Unfortunately all this came after his death when at age 37 he committed suicide after years of struggling with poverty and mental illness.
