The designer is Ruben Johnson, he was a vibrant, engaging person whose presence influenced others in progressive ways. Ruben was an inclusive person by nature and connected to and brought together an extraordinary range of people of all ages and backgrounds. Ruben was a passionate photographer with a sharp eye for composition and candid photography. His ability to capture all of nature’s beauty revealed Ruben’s unique eye. Ruben was also a gifted artist. His art and photography has been on display at the Hygenic in multiple shows over the past few years. Ruben was a known trend setter, very fashion forward, with a unique style admired by all. He loved to be in front of the camera as well and helped operationalize the TV Production Studio at his high school. He aspired to attend school in NYC,and work in the fashion industry. Ruben passed away June 21, 2011, after courageous short battle with brain cancer.
