Upside Down World - SRF Poster

I am offering this in two sizes - locked in due to the images. Some things in life are inevitable; yet, we're still unprepared at times, and it all seems to hit suddenly - everything at once. I could write the book, but I won't, because I need 4 hours sleep before teaching ('just realised the time) and it would be a long - long book anyway. No matter our physical age ... the extent of the situations .... there are times our world is turned upside down ... possibly never to be the same again ... or possibly, if you're lucky, only as a brief inconvenience. Even with my middle school students, some feel their world is devastated weekly (of course because someone told someone else that they said something about someone they swear they didn't say anything about, but now someone is mad at them and that someone told someone .... and as silly as it may seem, at the time, the pain is real for a 13 year old...). So ... when the world turns upside down, I do everything possible and beyond to fix it, make it better, and then, unless it's life altering, I'm learning to accept that I've done all anyone possibly could ... and to breathe ... Take a walk on the beach ... Curl up in a cosy blanket and read a book or watch tv with a bowl of popcorn ... Set new goals ... See friends ... Help someone in some way ... Eat banana ice cream ... and it won't solve the problems of the world, but it will give you a new perspective ... and revitalise your energy to keep going in the right direction with a brighter outlook ... : ) Just ask my dog who says taking him for a daily walk gives me a better perspective ... : ) Enjoy and thanks for being here with me!
