all of these shots started out in colour, and then were nicely touched up in black and white and shades of grey. the pics are from various locales- the tunnel is near baltimore and the beach is in delaware. the juggler is on the lawn at uva,as is the corridor shot, and the store in also in charlottesville. the cricket was on the path at a park somewhere outside madison, wisconsin. he or she wouldn't move so i took the photo op. the pumpkin pic is from madison. the cover is a sculpture on the mall in dc. the blinds were in my room in silver spring. the gas station was not far from there. the bridge is in central md on rt 29, en route to work at the time.
