Title : 佐渡相川町 (Sado Aikawa-machi / Aikawa-town on Sado Island) Souvenirs of Travel, 2st Series Aikawa-machi was once a town in Sado County, Niigata Prefecture, and was the centre of gold mining and tourism. Artist :川瀬巴水 (Kawase Hasui / かわせ はすい) He was a printmaker active from the Taisho to Showa periods. He travelled throughout Japan and painted lyrical depictions of the beautiful local scenery. Steve Jobs was also a favourite of Kawase Hasui's work. ＊Note: Created with colour correction based on public domain of ColBase.
