Two Of A Kind: The Martin XB-51 Poster

If you're a military aviation buff, or know someone who is, this may deserve space in your hangar, office, or home. Sure to be a conversation piece, this illustration of the Martin XB-51 attack bomber is as unique as the aircraft itself. The XB-51 was a late 1940s design for an attack aircraft which incorporated many innovative design features. Noteable for its unique appearance, the plane was designed with three turbojet engines (two in pods under the forward fuselage, with one inside the rear fuselage), a rotating bomb bay, variable incidence swept wings, T-tail, and no less than eight 20mm cannon in the nose. There were only two of these planes ever made or flown. Sadly, neither could be preserved for anyone to appreciate today. That is why I created my collection of XB-51 illustrations. This image depicts both of the prototypes streaking across the sky and banking away from you, the chase plane pilot. I hope you will enjoy owning it as much as I have enjoyed creating it.
