A new photograph of 2 wolves in the wild. We sighted these particular wolves several times during the same afternoon hike, in Golden, B.C., near Banff, where we were camping. Despite the wolf's popular depiction as a vicious animal, wolves in the wild do not attack humans or react aggressively without good reason. Shown respect, wild wolves are aloof and fascinating to observe. People are not endangered by wolves, wolves are endangered by people.
