Tulloch Castle – Davidson Clan Coffee Mug

Henry Davidson purchased Tullock Castle in 1762, from his cousin, Kenneth Bayne, 8th Laird of Tulloch. On Davidson’s death in 1781, Tulloch was inherited by his younger brother Duncan Davidson, who was MP for Cromartyshire from 1790 to 1796. The property was home to the Davidson Clan until the death of Duncan Davidson, who left the castle to his daughter and her son, Colonel Angus Vickers, of the Vickers aircraft company. Tulloch Castle served as a hospital after the evacuation of Dunkirk, and has been a hostel for the local education authority. The quality of these larger mugs is very good. I have been putting mine through the dishwasher all the time and it shows no signs of fading or dulling. Ergonomically these are lovely to hold and have fast become my favourite mug for a big cup of tea or coffee. Totally recommend getting the tea infuser with the mug especially if you like using loose leaf tea, which always tastes better from my experience and is better for the environment. Printing was good, bright and most importantly accurately matches the colouring shown on the website.
