About This Design

Tragedy & Comedy Ceramic Tree Decoration

The twin masks of comedy and tragedy used to represent the creative arts. They have their roots in Greek theatre, and represented a reflection of ancient Greek mythological tropes. Though they can appear separately and evolved as representations of different dramatic art forms, their appearance together holds far more symbolic importance. Reflecting the power of drama as well as the twin themes of joy and despair so prevalent in the human condition.

I was extremely happy to find a tree ornament for my Occupational Therapist daughter. (I bought one a few years ago for my Paramedic son) & prior to seeing this I was trying to work out how I could create something similar for her. Unfortunately my first order was deemed lost in the mail which meant it didn't arrive in time to give my daughter when she finished Uni. However the Zazzle Support team were fabulous & organised a replacement quite quickly. My daughter is very happy. Thank you. Nice ornament, love the colours
