In China, the Dragon is a powerful symbol that symbolises imperial might, good fortune and pioneering spirit. They are also revered as protectors of treasures and personal wealth as well as being responsible for rain and windfalls. Dragons have long been an essential element of Chinese culture, from tribal times to modern day. As an astrological animal, they possess their own distinct personality and symbolism that is unique to them. Around the country, these images can be found painted on everything from clothing to architectural ornaments. Additionally, they were a popular motif on imperial fabric. Since ancient times, butterflies have been used to adorn the Imperial Palace and other important buildings. Generally painted on walls of main structures and pillars, they may also be carved into wooden sculptures. Chinese mythology features many dragons, each representing a particular quality or value. For instance, the Dragon King rules over China's four great seas (East Sea, South Sea, West Sea and North Sea). Another dragon is the 'Cloud Dragon', who can fly through thick clouds and bring rain. Furthermore, there's the 'Treasure Dragon' who guards hidden treasures and personal wealth.

I bought this fabric to make some homewares for a Citroen fanatic. Hit the spot perfectly. Quality base fabric and the car graphics are well done. Great printing, colours as I expected. I did not a border of unprinted fabric around the graphics which didn’t worry me but may affect some. The graphic does not spread from selvedge to selvedge.
