Tiger's Head (by Abott Handerson Thayer) Jigsaw Puzzle
This design features a painting by American artist Abott Handerson Thayer (1849–1921), who is particularly known for his portraits of animals. It shows the head of a Bengal tiger staring straight at the viewer; the animal is standing behind tall grasses. The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the largest species of cat in existence. It is easily recognised by its black vertical stripes and white patches on orange-brown fur. Tigers are an endangered species that currently live in India, Sumatra and Siberia. Moreover, the tiger is the national animal of India, Bangladesh, Malaysia and South Korea. The original painting was first completed in 1874.

I was a bit disappointed to find that for the price the puzzle was only a small 252 pieces ..... but ....... it is so intricate that if it was bigger I would be frazzled by now
bought as a special Christmas jigsaw for work colleagues to play with in our breaks - it is a great way to get the team to collaborate on something fun, and to start conversations between folk, and a great positive opportunity to provide compliments on the effort put in and progress being made
the puzzle itself is beautifully made - each piece feels lovely (not a cheap cardboard puzzle) and the shapes are all similar but different
Still a work in progress after a week - it's great!!!!
a truly lovely thing ... it will come out each year - both at work and at home. great image, and fantastic finish on the pieces
