Thurso Slate Wall Tile

At the far north of mainland Scotland, there is a small town from which you can see across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Isles. One of the local products is slate, which can be seen in buildings and structures throughout the town. Whereas Glasgow buildings are predominantly red sandstone and Aberdeen ones granite, Thurso walls in particular are as far as I can tell almost exclusively made from slate. I took several pictures of such walls when I was there earlier this year, for their nice organic, rustic and slightly wild texture, thinking it would make a brilliant background image on Zazzle products.
