This painting is very meaningful to me as I grew up in the LowerMainland of BC and often visited Stanley Park where we could see the Orca's migrating. I learned how important family is in a pod of Orcas and had permission from an amazing photographer, James Hale, to use his picture of these three whales surfacing together for my painting.
