She is paying so much attention to the flowers in her hand that she may have aspirations of becoming a botanist when she grows up. There is a beach behind her and the blue sea can be seen. The weather is sunny and bright. There are some more plants and flowers growing beside the girl. She also has a book, which she might have used for taking notes about the surrounding flora. The original artwork was painted by Paul peel in 1888.
