The Transfiguration Poster
La Transfiguration by Peter Paul Rubens depicts the biblical episode of the Transfiguration of Jesus, where Christ is revealed in divine glory atop Mount Tabor, flanked by Moses and Elijah, with the apostles Peter, James, and John witnessing the event. The painting also integrates the healing of a possessed boy in the lower section, combining two Gospel narratives into one composition.
Commissioned in late 1604 by Vincent I Gonzaga for the Jesuit church of the Holy Trinity in Mantua, this work was executed without preparatory sketches, showcasing Rubens’s mastery and confidence. It was displayed on the right side of the altar, complementing other works by Rubens in the church.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
