八百万の神 (Yaoyorozu No Kami) are the spirits that dwells in all things.
八百万(Yaoyorozu) means eight million, in this case means infinite.
神 (Kami) means Gods or Spirits.
This is a Shinto (religion) concept: it is believed that all things are Gods.
Everything has a "soul": a mountain, the toilet, every animal, a rice field, even the rice grain.
It doesn't mean you have to worship all of these things, but that you should respect them and be grateful to them.
