The Soul of the Rose (by John William Waterhouse) Stone Coaster

This design features a painting by the English Pre-Raphaelite artist John William Waterhouse (1849–1917). It shows an elegant young woman wearing a dark blue dress. Her eyes are closed and her mouth is slightly open, almost as though she is imagining a romantic kiss, as she smells the fragrant flower. The pink roses are growing against a wall that surrounds a fine villa: its architecture can be seen in the distance. The original artwork was painted by John William Waterhouse in 1908. The title is inspired by a poem writing by Alfred, Lord Tennyson in the 19th century.
