The Phoenix Envelope
A phoenix is a mythical bird that is a fire spirit with a colourful plumage and a tail of gold and scarlet It has a 500 to 1000 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of twigs that then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live again. The new phoenix is destined to live as long as its old self.

The design is lovely, unfortunately the quality of the envelopes were atrocious... the packaging for them shrunk and started curving the envelopes in the plastic. The paper quality is super thin, and most deteriorated on the edges, causing it to break or appear white (see pictures). The prints for the invitation themselves also had similar issues which made them look very cheap. Unfortunately my partner and I need to send invites ASAP, so we had to cop it and didn't proceed with an exchange. Super unfortunate as the designs were great!
