The Old Bridge (by Theodore Robinson) Watch
This design features artwork by the American impressionist painter Theodore Robinson (1852–1896). It shows a rural French landscape with a river running through it; there is a beautiful stone bridge crossing the stream. A farm animal is wading in the water. The style is influenced by Monet as well as the academic training that Robinson had received when starting his career in art. The original painting was completed in 1890, and it is currently housed in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Madrid, Spain.
