The Kiss (Der Kuss) (1907/08) by Gustav Klimt is probably his most famous work. Klimt began work on it in 1907 and it is the highpoint of his so-called 'Golden Period'. The Kiss is a vintage Victorian Era Symbolism fine art love and romance painting featuring a romantic couple in various shades of gold, symbols and patterns, sharing a kiss against a bronze background. The perfect design to celebrate Valentine's Day with. About the artist: Gustav Klimt (1862-1918) was an Austrian Symbolist painter and one of the most prominent members of the Vienna Art Nouveau movement.
