The John Ringling Hotel

Architect, Dwight James Baum designed this fanciful hotel in Sarasota for owner, builder Owen Burns. The hotel opened as The El Vernona named after Mr. Burns's wife. It was "the place" to be seen in Sarasota for decades. The hotel was later purchased by John Ringling and became infamous for featuring new circus acts to dazzle guests. The hotel was demolished in 1998 to make way for a parking garage. You can order this card as is or personalise it by adding a message or greeting inside. Please note, the image was taken from a vintage postcard. There will be some graininess to the image. We think it adds to the character!

This was exactly what was wanted for my piano crazy grandson! He is self taught & is now having lessons by a top teacher and has been asked to play at various venues in the US!
