The Harvesters is an oil on wood painting by Pieter Bruegel in 1565. The painting is one in a series of six works, five of which are still extant, that depict different times of the year. As in many of his paintings, the focus is on peasants and their work. Notably, some of the peasants are shown eating while others are harvesting, a diachronic (relating to phenomena — ideas/language/culture — as they occur or change over a period of time) depiction of both the production and consumption of food. In the centre left of the painting, a group of villagers can be seen participating in the blood sport of rooster throwing. The painting is currently located in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, located in New York City.

I hung this in the stairwell of our house, near some other Renoir pictures. My daughter says it looks like she is looking at her when she walks up the stairs.
it's called "The Excursionist", she is holding a walking stick. Renoir was an impressionist, I don't think this is an actual person. The finished framed picture arrived and looks better than the online pic - Beautiful!
